Rita Howell

Rita Howell of Ironton gained her home in heaven Tuesday July 3, 2019,  leaving from the Harbor Heath Care formerly Jo Lin's in Ironton. 

The Pedro, Ohio native was born June 26, 1946, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Turvey Aldridge and the late Rev. Ralph Aldridge. She was a 1965 graduate of Blackfork High School. She loved the Lord. Once attending the City Mission then later in life enjoying and being proud to listen to her brother Rev. Tim Aldridge preach at the Christiansen House.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Howell, 2 brothers; Daniel and Buddy Aldridge, 6 sisters; Delilah Willoughby, Gearleen Howell, Patricia (Tish) Laney, Gail Johnson, Jenni Jiles, and Pam Rister.

She is survived by 2 brothers; Timothy Aldridge and his wife Tonja, David Aldridge and his wife Patty,  a sister; Debbie West and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00pm on Sunday July 7, 2019 in the chapel of the First Christian Baptist Church located at 2427 South 11th Street; Ironton, Ohio 45638 with Rev. Jeff Cremeans and Rev. Tim Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Vernon Furnace Cemetery in Pedro, Ohio.

Friends may call from 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm at the church.

Rita began her journey home by planning with the Taylor Brown Family and Brown Funeral Chapel and we are honored to have been chosen.
