Joseph Stewart McCoy

     Joseph Stewart McCoy 36 of Nelsonville, Ohio, gained his wings to heaven where his family that gone before him, greeted him with open arms and said welcome home. On August 16, 2019 leaving from Nelsonville, Ohio

     The South Williamson, Kentucky native was born February 12, 1983, he is the son on Mary McCoy (her fiance is Mathew Doane) and his dad; David McCoy. He was a graduate of Athens High School, a mechanic by trade, love to fish, and a tattooist. His mom said " I know he is in heaven riding his motorcycle, because he loved to ride so much.

     Those that had gone before him, meeting him at the gates of heaven were: his grandmother; Jean McCoy, 2 aunt's; Stella Bowen, Lynn Preece, 2 uncles; Junior Bowen, and Buddy Bowen.

     In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are;  his wife; Jamie Guess McCoy, 3 children; Sydney Johnson, Jacie and Katelyn McCoy, two sisters; Beth Gobble, and Crystal McCoy 3 aunts; Dixie and Brenda Bowen, Lisa McCoy,and a cousin; Amber Hupp.

     A day of rememberance will be held October 6, 2019 begining at 11am and lasting all day. At Stroud's Run Camping area 11661 State Park Rd, Athens, OH 45701. We ask everyone to bring a covered dish, and drinks to the camping area. Keeping with his families wishes he was cremated. Memorial donations should be directed to his mother to help with final expenses.

     His mother gave the blessing of taking care of her son to the Taylor-Brown family of Brown Funeral Chapel and we have been honor to be selected. Our prayers are with his family at this time.
