Alonzo "Al" Beair

Alonzo "Al" Beair, 83, of Decatur, Ohio went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2019.

The Olive Hill, Kentucky native was born December 17, 1935, a son of the late Lewis Beair and the late Dessie Barker Phillips. He was formerly employed with the Ironton Coke Plant with 14 years of service; an United States Army Veteran; and member of Decatur Missionary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by two brothers; Gary Phillips, Jack Philips; three sisters; Hazel Haskins, Bernice Gillispie, and Freda Phillips.

Family members include his wife of 63 years, Rosemary Beair, one son, Ray (Cathy Stamper) Beair; one grandson, Jason Beair of Pedro, OH; a special aunt, Lou Barker of Olive Hill, KY; a host of family and friends.

Graveside funeral services will be Monday, August 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM in Macedonia Cemetery with Pastor Brian Phillips officiating. Military funeral honors will be presented by Kenova, WV American Legion Post 93.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

His wife has entrusted his care to the Taylor-Brown family of Brown Funeral Chapel.
