Ruth Nelson

Ruth Nelson 82 of Franklin Furnace gained her wings to heaven on Thursday August 30, 2018 leaving from the Crystal Care Nursing Center.

The Greenup, Kentucky native was born September 15, 1935, a daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Adkins and the late Jacob Nelson. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School. She was formerly employed with GTE of Illinois with over 12 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, reading, visiting with friends and family, having Super Bowl parties with her grandsons every year and watching Horse races.  Ruth Touched the lives of everyone who know her.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Jacob Nelson Jr., Paul Nelson, Richard Nelson, Gene Nelson, 4 sisters; Louise Abrams, Rosemary Russell, Betty Nelson, Yvonne Davis, and a daughter in law Kathy Glazier.

She is survived by a son; William Glazier, daughters; Debra and Rick Bond, Lora Glazier and Kathleen and Daniel Wilson,  a sister; Minnie Mae Anderson, a brother; Andrew Nelson, 7 grandsons; Nicholas Mitchell, William Glazier, Todd Evitt, Brian Glazier, Jacob Poole, Andrew LaSalle and Jesse LaSalle, 2 granddaughters; Christi Glazier and Lisa Mitchell, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00  a m on Tuesday  September, 2018 in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Rock Hill, Ohio with Brother Lloyd Wilson  officiating. The funeral procession will depart at 10:15 am.
