Homer Leach; 67, of Portsmouth, Ohio formerly of Ironton, passed away Friday March 23, 2018 at his home with his family at his side.
The Ironton native was born October 8, 1950, a son of the late Austin and Stella Leach. He was a Retired United States Army Veteran with 24 years of service. Homer was also retired from United Parcel Service of Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a big Nascar Fan and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to all.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter; Stella Robyn Ionis and a sister; Sadie Leach.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years whom he married on November 17, 1972 Nancy Delawder at home, 2 daughters; Christy Leach, Candy Hurst, a brother; Theodore Leach, 9 grandchildren; Austin Lemaster, Nellie Rhoads, Alex Rhoads, Christos Mirtsekis, Homer Mirtsekis, Omaru Carter, Keshane Carter, Kanei Carter, Lexy Carter, 2 great grandchildren; Willow Lemaster, Jude Lemaster and a host of family and friends.
Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday March 27, 2018 in Soldiers Section of Woodland Cemetery with Bishop Romesser Officiating with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 8850 of Ironton and the United States Army Burial Detail.
