Esther Mae Boles
Esther Mae Boles 67 Of Ironton, gained her wings to heaven this morning Sunday February 4, 2018 leaving from the Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
The Ironton native was born July 17, 1950 at Lawrence General Hospital, a daughter of the late Ethel Schassberger. Esther was a graduate of Rock Hill High School. She held numerous positions during her life including a Nurses aid for Lawrence General Hospital, In the Supply department of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and for Cabletron. But most of all she was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister; Patricia Lewis and two brothers; Daniel, Benny and Jim Stevens and a granddaughter; Brittany Boles.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, whom she married on September 22, 1966, McKinley “Mack” Boles Jr. at home, a son; McKinley “Mack” Boles III and his wife Sherry of Pedro, Ohio, a daughter; Denna Hackett and her husband Don of Ironton, Ohio, a sister; Helen Schnitzius of Camden, Ohio, 3 brothers; Clifford, Johnny and Carl Stevens, 3 grandchildren; McKinley “Mack” Boles IV and his wife Stephanie of Pedro, Mickl Hackett and his fiancé Shana of Flatwoods, Ky., Heather Hackett and her boyfriend Earnest Bonecutter Jr., 8 great grandchildren; Ryleigh, Jaden, McKinley, Kalob, Kennith, Konner, Zoey, Braxton, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Keeping with his wife’s wishes Esther will be cremated. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Riversbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of South Point and the Community Hospice Care Center of Ashland, Kentucky. They were both heartfelt and provided wonderful care to Esther. Memorial donations should be made to the Hospice Community Center at 2330 Pollard Ave; Ashland, Kentucky 41101
Her family has entrusted her care to Brown Funeral Chapel of Ironton.
