David Salyers Sr.

            David Salyers Sr.; 51, of Ft. Wayne Indiana, formerly of Ashland, Kentucky gained his wings to heaven on March 6, 2018, leaving from the Park View Regional Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

            He was born February 14, 1967 in Ashland, Kentucky a son of Tilda Fields Salyers and the late Henry Salyers. David loved music, had a vibrant soul, but most of all, loved his family.

            In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children Robin Porter.

            In addition to his mother, he is survived by his 2 Sons; David (DJ) Salyers Jr of Ashland, Ky., Steven Salyers of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, 2 brothers; Michael D. Salyers of Ashland, Ky., Paul Salyers and his wife Donna of Catlettsburg, Ky., a sister; Lisa Salyers Dempsey and her husband Clay of South Charleston, WV., a granddaughter; Evelyn Salyers, 4 nieces; Larissa and Evelynn Frasure, of Ashland, Ky.,  Alayna and Keara Salyers of Texas,  a nephew; Brian Salyers and his wife Brandy of Ashland, Ky., a great nephew; Benson  Salyers, Cousins; Jami and Tim Armstrong of Texas and a host of family and friends.

    Keeping with his Sons wishes, he will be cremated. Donations to help should be made directly to his son Steven or Brown Funeral Chapel where you will get a receipt for your donation.  

            His family has entrusted his care to Brown Funeral Chapel of Ironton.
