 Kurtis Isiaha Carter; 31 of Ashland, Kentucky gained his wings and was welcomed home to glory on Wednesday November 3, 2021. 

The Huntington West Virginia native was born August 16, 1990, a Son of Meaka Carter and his father; Neisler Welch and his biological father; Rock Sexton. Kurtis loved to help people in everyday life. He loved the nursing field and taking care of people. Kurtis attended Ashland Kentucky schools and had obtained his G.E.D.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Lola and Stanley Bradley, Wilbert Hord (Butch II), his paternal grandparent; Teresa Bennett. 2 uncles; Garfield Vaughn and Milton Jr. Bennett.

In addition to his mother, he leaves to mourn his passing 7 children; Kiani Serene Carter, Raylee Shani Pringle, Meah Dawn Pringle, Neriah Serae Carter, Kaiden Sincere Carter, Kayleigh Carman Isabelle and Justin Donald Roberts Potts, his Grandmother; Virginia Sexton, his God children; Zjaytyia Lee Mize, Mckenzie Nicole Tolbert, Orion Jumar Tolbert, Tyrell Mize, 3 brothers, Dondrea Carter, Rashard Carter, Joshua and Johnathon Sexton, a sister; Zhonna Carter, 4 aunts, 2 uncles and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at Noon Saturday November 13, 2021 in the Christ Temple Church of Ashland Kentucky 2601 Lexington Ave; Ashland Kentucky 41101 with Pastor Elder JD Crockrel officiating along with guest Ministers of faith.. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations should be made to the funeral chapel to help with expenses.      His mother Meaka Carter has entrusted her sons care to the Taylor Brown Family of Brown Funeral Chapel. 

Those serving as Pallbearers are asked to be at the Church at 9:30 am on Saturday.
