Homer Biars

Homer Biars; 74 of Ironton, entered the gates of Heaven Tuesday morning June 15, 2021 leaving from the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

The Scioto County Ohio native was born February 28, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a son of the late Goldie Styles and the late John Biars. Homer was a free spirit and loved to draw, paint and widdle. He is loved and will be missed by all that knew him.

He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters; Janet Boggs, Hazel Grubb, 5 brothers; Bob, Calvin, Johnny, Steve and Russle Biars.

He is survived by his former wife and loving friend; Brenda Biars, 3 special daughters; Tammie (Billy) Warboy of Ironton, Angie (Tim) Boggs of Kitts Hill, Brittany Viars also of Ironton, 5 stepchildren, many grandkids, great grandkids,4 siblings; Carol Kinker of Minford, Ohio, Connie (Jim) Stapleton of Stout, Ohio, Ronnie Biars of Portsmouth, Ohio, Roger Biars .of Maion Ohio, several nieces, nephews, 2 special friends; Danny and Arnold Clark of Ironton  and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Friday June 18, 2021 in the Ironton City Mission with Pastor Jeff Cremeans officiating.  Pallbearers will be; Billy Warboy, Travis Mullens, Dryzen Mullens, Tanner Carpenter,  Michael Wicker who will meet at the church at 10 am. An Honorary Pallbearer will be Arnold Clark.  In keeping with his families wishes he will be cremated after the services.  The family ask that memorial donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
