Derwood Lee Taylor Jr.

Derwood Lee “Derb” Taylor Jr.; 69 of Portsmouth, Ohio gained his wings to heaven on July 28, 2020 leaving from his home in Portsmouth, Ohio.

          The Jackson Ohio native was born June 12, 1951, a son of the late Ruth Aldridge Taylor and the late Derwood Lee Taylor Sr. Derb as he was known to many by was a former Funeral Attendant at F.C. Daehler Mortuary. He enjoyed gardening, watching football, walking, collecting magnets, making wine, playing chess and his pet turtles.

          In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by 2 brothers: Rick and Red Taylor.

          He Is survived by 2 daughters; Fancy Taylor, Kandi Lee Taylor, a son; Mark Taylor, 2 brothers; Tim Taylor, John Taylor,  3 sisters; Lisa Cook, Myra Cook, Karen Lore, 1 grandchild, and a host of family and friends.

          Keeping with his families wishes, he will be cremated. Memorial donations should be directed to the family to help with final expenses.

          His children have entrusted their dads care to the Taylor-Brown family of Brown Funeral Chapel.
