Alvin Massie

Alvin Massie, 69, of Pedro, Ohio gained his Wings to Heaven on Thursday, August 13, 2020, leaving from King's Daughters Medical Center. 

The Ironton, Ohio native was born May 11, 1951. He was the son of the late George Massie and the late Pauline Bailey Massey. Alvin was a laborer with R & R Roofing; a logger; and a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fighting chickens, and coon hunting. Most of all, he loved his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Hartwig.

Survivors include two sons, Jeremy Massie, Marty Massie; one sister, Sharon Woods; three grandchildren, Reagan, Eli, and Hunter Massie; the Mother of his children, Jackie Butler Massie; a host of family and friends.

The family will hold a Graveside service on   at 4:00 pm on Tuesday August 18, 2020 in the Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jesse Sizemore officoating. Keeping with his family's wishes, he will be cremated. 

Memorial donations in his honor should be made to his son, Jeremy Massie, to help with final expenses.

His family has entrusted his care to the Taylor-Brown Family of Brown Funeral Chapel.
