Melinda Sue Stambaugh; 44 of Ashland, Kentucky went to meet Jesus on Saturday December 8, 2018.

The Ashland, Kentucky native was born September 14, 1974 a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Conley Distel . She had attended Boyd County Schools, a graduate of Paul Blazer High School and had attended college for 2 years.

Those left to mourn her passing are; Her husband of 3 years James Earl Stambaugh III whom she married on October 3, 2015, a daughter Serena Dawn Stambaugh, a sister; Missy Wright, a very special friend; Chris Anne Malloy and a host of family and friends.

Keeping with her families wishes she will be cremated and her ashes scattered. The family may plan a memorial service for Melinda in the near future
