Lawrence Delawder Obituary

Lawrence Isaac Delawder 55 of Portsmouth Ohio formerly of Ironton gained his wings to heaven today August 20, 2018 leaving from the Hospice care center in Portsmouth with his family and friends by his side.

The Chicago native was born April 26, 1963 a son of the late Ernestine Ward and the late Francis Delawder Sr. Lawrence was a graduate of Rock Hill High School.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son; Lawrence Isaac Delawder Jr., a brother; Francis Delawder, and two sisters; Sandra Delawder, Dianna Delawder, two nephews; Steven Delawder and Jeffrey France.

He is survived by a son Larry Delawder, a sister; Linda Delawder and her fiancé Allen Stevens, his fiancé and companion; Faith Parker, Mother of his children; Jessica Pennington, a granddaughter; Addie Page Delawder, 4 nephews; Calvin Kersey Jr.  and his fiancé Barbie Jarrett, Justin (Cruiz) Kersey and his wife Kristin, Kyle Kersey, Eddie White, three nieces; Kristina France, Sarah Hunt, Anita Kersey, a friend; Doris Russell and a host of family and friends.

Keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. Memorial donations should be made to the family to help with final expenses.

Family entrusted his care to Brown Funeral Chapel of Ironton.
