James Charles “Jim” Rowe; 68, of Ironton; Ohio died Monday February 12, 2018 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born January 26, 1950 in Lawrence County, Ohio. He was the Son of the late Charles Rowe and the late Vilma Selby Rowe. He was a U.S. Army Viet Nam Veteran, a Past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8850 and member of the Ironton Moose Lodge. Jim was known to many for his karaoke business. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
In Addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son; James “Jimmy” Rowe Jr.
He is survived his wife Rosalee Rowe at home; 2 daughters; Colleen Rowe and Holly Rowe. Jim also leaves a brother; Bill Rowe of Springfield, Ohio. 4 sisters; Cathy Rowe of Ironton, Ohio, Jan Cumpton and her husband James of South Point, Ohio., Charlene Waugh and her husband Bill of Ashland, Kentucky., and Beverly Evans and her husband Jim of Akron, Ohio., 3 Grandchildren; Marvin Wilburn Jr., Courtney Lynn Wilburn, Brandon Lee Wilburn and a host of family and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Noon on Saturday February 17, 2018 in the chapel of the Brown Funeral Chapel with Rev. Leon Dalton Officiating. Jim will be laid to rest after the service with his son in the La Grange Cemetery will Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army Burial Detail and Jims fellow brothers of VFW Post 8850 of Ironton. .
Friends may call after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00P.M. on Friday at the funeral chapel and one hour prior to services. Friends and family may post their condolences, send flowers, light a candle or share a memory under the tribute tab at brownfuneralchapel.org
