Deborah E. Clayton

Deborah E. (Hardy) Clayton; 67 gained her wings to heaven on Monday April 8, 2019 leaving from Kings Daughters Medical Center.

The Ironton native was born September 30, 1951, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Butler) Hardy. Deborah was retired from the AT&T Call Center in Grayson, Ky. And held other positions during her lifetime including working at Ashland Oil and the Hallmark Card Center. She was a graduate with the Ironton High School Class of 1969, and she loved nascar,(all things Jeff Gordon), going to Disney World, and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Clayton.

She is survived by her daughter; Rachelle Clayton, granddaughter; Carleigh Holston sister; Cindy (Hardy) McCalvin, nephew; Thomas McCalvin, niece; Helen (Sissy McCalvin) Wheeler, special cousin; Lynn Witt,and special friend; Debbie Meadows Fisher.

Keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service may be held in the future. Memorial donations should be directed to Cindy McCalvin 1745 Phillip St. Ironton, Ohio 45638 to help with final expenses.
