Carol Hudson Calton; 56 of Kitts Hill, Ohio was greeted at the gates of heaven by her family on Saturday September 28, 2019 after leaving from the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
The Memphis Tennessee native was born on January 20, 1963 and raised in Jonesville, Virginia, Flint, Michigan and Kitts Hill, Ohio. She was a daughter of the late Deanna Hudson and the late George Hudson. Carol was a former Home Health Aid that obtained her High school equivalency diploma. She loved spending time outdoors in the yard, and garden. Most of all she enjoyed her family, especially her grandbabbies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion of 8 years Charles Legg, and two brothers; Joseph and Robert Hudson.
Those left to carry on without her are two daughters; Jessi Nicole Calton, Ashley Calton, two sisters; Danielle Horner and her husband Chuck, Debbie Ilderton and her husband John, a brother; Michael Hudson, four grandchildren; Draevyn Murphy, Braylen Wilson, Athena Calton, Azalia Calton, an adopted grandson; Cayden Lewis, a niece; Loren Horner, 2 nephews; Nick Hurn, Jerimiah Hudson, two friends, Brenda Fradd Neal, Debbie Cooper Rister and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday October 1, 2019 in the First Christian Baptist Church at 2427 South 11th Street; Ironton, Ohio 45638 with the Brother Lloyd Wilson officiating. She will be laid to rest with her family in the Fradd Cemetery.
Friends may call from Noon until time of services at the church.
Her and her family entrusted the Taylor-Brown family of Brown Funeral Chapel to begin her Journey home.
